Moreover, they are reportedly pursuing Udinese's Lorenzo Lucca, and if they push through that move, Nunez could be surplus to requirements.

The Uruguay international has gone from being an important player at Liverpool to very much a fringe option, whom they nearly sold in January. The 25-year-old is reportedly valued at around €60 million (£51m/$69m), and that may put pay to a Napoli move, despite him being keen on a switch to the Serie A champions.
Nunez, who only scored five goals in 30 Premier League appearances this season, has also been credited with interest from Atletico Madrid and AC Milan but seems to not be keen on Saudi Pro League offers.
Former Benfica attacker Nunez, whose Anfield contract runs until 2028, may have played his last game for Liverpool, with the Reds seemingly keen on a new number nine. It remains to be seen where Nunez's future lies.
